Response:  A time where I have had to travel somewhere and work through obstacles and to reach a destination happens a lot. It can happen in small things day to day or even things that can go on over my life span. Lots of challenges will and have occurred because even with all of the challenges it's worth the outcome. The journey will always be worth it because if you care about something enough you'll do anything for it.  What I was doing was wrong and could've hurt someone. Summary:  Today we read a story and filled out an organizer. Reflection:  I feel like this activity rea

Today, we learned about the two types of characterization: direct and indirect characterization. We then applied what we learned by analyzing characters from James Baldwin’s “The Rockpile” using the STEAL method: Speech, Thoughts, Effect on Others, Actions, and Looks. Now, apply characterization to yourself. If someone were using the STEAL method to characterize you, how would they describe you? Select all parts of STEAL and explain what they reveal about your personality. Use specific examples. For example, what do your actions reveal about you? What does the way you speak reveal? How do you affect others? What might your thoughts or appearance communicate about who you are? Write one full paragraph.

Prompt Response:  I think that lots of people would describe me differently because sometimes I act a little different around different people. I would say most people would say that I'm nice, friendly, and energetic. I would say that lots of people would say that because I'm very talkative and friendly towards other. I hope that this makes other feel good because I feel like if I'm acting happy others will be happy as well. I have never really felt or had a feeling that me or someone else in my family was treated differently than everyone else. We all do are best to treat each other the same. As stated there was no time that was felt that sonome or me in my family was treated differently therefore nothing caused the differences and I have no say on if I think it was fair or not. A time when I was curious and temapation caused me to ingore the warning of a rule was when I was little and I saw a cat outside.   Prompt Response:  I think that some people have such a hard time accepting loss or change because it can be something that people get connected with and its where or whom they feel safe with. Write about a fear you have overcome.

Response: A fear that I have overcome is my fear of the dark. When I was little I was very scared of the dark. I was scared because I couldn't see in the dark and I didn't know what was there. I overcame this fear bit by bit, at night I would sleep with a light on and over time the light got duller and duller and now I'm no longer afraid of the dark.
